![]() ![]() PresentationĪ lot of Mini Motorways is inspired by Mini Metro, and this holds true to its presentation style. Mini Motorways is just as excellent as you would expect. Mini Motorways has been out on Apple devices via Apple Arcade but now it is coming to more platforms.įor those that missed out on the original release, or was waiting for the PC and Switch release: good news. Instead of building an ever-changing network of subway lines, you build a network of roads for a city instead. Mini Motorways is the follow-up to Dinosaur Polo Club’s puzzler Mini Metro. But what if you have the power to improve traffic flow that no existing public works department can have access to? I have a question that isn't answered here.įeel free to post in the comments! We'll do our best to check in here at least a few times for launch.Traffic jams. There currently isn't a soundtrack available. :)Īll of the game's audio is procedurally-generated courtesy of Disasterpeace's audio engineering. We are working on a port for Switch and will revisit other consoles then. The mobile version will remain on Apple Arcade as Apple is our mobile publisher for the time being. Kinda weird to ask this on Steam, but since people are asking - at the moment we are Steam-only for PC. Will you be offering the game on other platforms/consoles besides Steam? We tend to keep our group of testers fairly small so we can keep a close eye on things and offer quick feedback, but we understand the game is growing and that means other aspects of it will have to grow, too! Probably! We aren't recruiting new testers at the moment, but as we tinker with new game modes we will likely need fresh eyes on new features. ![]() (I am a Linux user at home myself so I'd be keen on revisiting it in the future when we've got less going on, but for now it's a no.)Īre you still going to be recruiting testers for new stuff? Since we're a fairly small team working on multiple projects, we have to be mindful of how we prioritise things. We monitor our support inbox daily, which covers both Mini Metro and Mini Motorways - you be offering Linux support?Īt the moment there are not plans to offer a Linux version - unfortunately with Mini Metro, the Linux build is a tiny tiny sliver of our playerbase and ends up taking just as much dev time as the Windows and Mac builds for troubleshooting etc. Will you be offering live support after launch in case I run into an issue?Īs live as we can, time zones being what they are! I'll be setting up some stickies in here for people to post bug reports. Sure do! Valve is being weird about us hosting links to it on here, so if you email with the subject "Streamer asset pack" we will send one your way! Anyone who requests can have one. ĭo you have any assets I can use for my posts/videos? That sounds like a lot of work and also not particularly friendly! You can read the policy on our press kit page here. We don't require people to individually email for permission and we definitely don't police which regions people stream from. We have a catch-all license on our site, but the tl dr of it is that anyone can make Mini Motorways videos and monetise them. ĭo you have a policy about whether or not content creators can monetise our videos? Sure thing! The lovely Lena at Stride PR is handling key distribution for us. We hope to eventually offer the same breadth of game modes that Mini Metro has (something for the creative/endless mode players and an extreme mode), although they may be slightly different as we'll have to tweak things for performance reasons. We also have additional game modes planned. Good news, we're already working on our next one! We roll out new maps every few months, same as we have with Mini Metro over the years. ![]() You can check out SteamDB for your local currency:Ĩ:00am Pacific time on the 20th of July! (Sorry, fellow New Zealanders, that's 2am for us.) Mini Motorways will cost the same as Mini Metro ($9.99 US) with a 10% discount on launch. That said, we're going to host a couple ask the devs sessions on here soon, just looking to nail down what times and dates would be best. We wish we had time to reply to every person individually, but we're a small team spread across multiple games and working in New Zealand time zone so we don't see a lot of stuff in real time. We're thrilled to say everything is good to go on the Valve backend, and we wanted to drop in with some info to answer some of the most common questions we see on the forums and community posts. Morning, folks! It's been a busy few weeks at Dinosaur Polo HQ. ![]()
